Georgia Force Football

The Georgia Force Knight’s football program is a fall sport that starts in February with winter conditioning and ends with spring camp in May.  After a month off, the fall season starts up in July and runs through November.  Force football is open to boys grades 6-12.  We have both a J/V and Varsity football program.  Through Force football, we commit to encourage, lead, teach and develop young men to be Godly leaders within the community based on Christian principles.

Our football team is a member of the Southeast Independent Football League (SEIFL).  The SEIFL is made up of teams from Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.  We play teams in the SEIFL as well as teams from other leagues.  Generally our schedule is balanced for both home and away games.  After the regular season the top 4 ranked teams in the SEIFL participate in a 2 game playoff bracket where the top 2 teams host the playoff game for both Varsity and J/V teams.  The winner of those games will compete in the league championship which is typically held at North Greenville University.

We also participate in the annual American Homeschool Football Championship (AHFC) tournament.  This tournament is held the week before Thanksgiving in Gulf Shores, Al  The AHFC is currently comprised of 8 teams from Ga, Texas, Virginia, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.  This tournament is currently only for Varsity teams although some J/V players may be asked to play up at the Varsity level.  The tournament is very competitive and participation is required to ensure our success in the tournament.  While provide transportation, lodging, and meals for the player but families are encouraged to attend as this is a great community building opportunity for our families.

How much does it cost to play football?

Registration fees for the regular season are typically around $1000 for returning players and $900 for new players.  This includes Spring Training, Summer Camp, practices, regular season, and SEIFL playoff games.  The fees include most of the necessary equipment including helmets, shoulder pads, game day jerseys, game day pants, practice jerseys, practice pants.  The $150 new player fee is necessary to help with the costs of additional equipment needed as our roster grows.  Players are required to purchase their own girdle with leg pads, mouthpiece, and any other items the player uses such as gloves or helmet visor.  Registration Fees must be paid in full by August 1 to participate in team activities.

There is an additional fee for the AHFC Tournament in November.  This is normally around $400 and includes transportation, food, and lodging for players attending the tournament.  The fees will be due by October 15 for the tournament.  The tournament is for Varsity level only but sometimes we do invite select J/V players to join the team for the trip.  We do offer a day camp which provides the opportunity for J/V players to join the Varsity team during non-game activities.  Camp registration is normally around $100 to help with the cost of food as camp attendees eat with the team as well.  Day Camp attendees do not stay on campus or travel with the team so transportation and lodging is at the discretion of parents.

Once registration opens for both the regular season and AHFC Tournament we will send an invoice links to parents of registered players which will allow you to make payments as needed toward registration fees.
